The COMBIDISC CDR VRW fleece discs from Pferd Tools combine ultra-fine grinding and cleaning in a quick-change solution. Available in diameters of 50 mm and 75 mm, as well as in three grit sizes, they are suitable for both flat surfaces and complex contours.
Features:
These discs consist of a fleece with a very open structure, which effectively removes particles and reduces clogging during grinding or cleaning. Corundum A is used as the abrasive, suitable for ferrous and non-ferrous metals as well as certain plastics. The range comprises three grit sizes (100, 180 and 280), covering work stages from rough preparation to a satin-finished surface. The COMBIDISC CDR clamping system, featuring a tool-side screw connection with an external plastic thread, enables quick tool changes without the need for additional tools. The system is also compatible with common interfaces such as Roloc™, Lockit, Speed Lok TR, Power Lock Type III, Fastlock B and Roll-On. The design ensures virtually vibration-free operation and reduces fatigue during prolonged use. The absence of sticking, slipping or detachment contributes to consistent surface finishes.

CDR VRW discs are used for surface finishing and maintenance in the manufacturing industry, metalworking and tank construction. They are suitable for a wide range of applications, such as step-by-step fine grinding, cleaning painted or metallic surfaces, texturing (matting, brushing, satin finishing), deburring, finishing weld seams and precision finishing. Materials that can be processed include, amongst others, stainless steel, structural steels up to 1,200 N/mm², hardened and tempered steels, nickel-based alloys (such as Inconel or Hastelloy), titanium and cobalt alloys, aluminium, copper, brass, bronze, as well as fibre-reinforced thermosets (GRP, CFRP) and thermoplastics. In industrial maintenance, these discs are suitable for cleaning components prior to reworking or inspection. In production, they facilitate surface preparation prior to further processing or assembly. The Ø 50 mm and 75 mm sizes allow for the machining of both small workpieces and hard-to-reach contours – suitable for use on compact angle grinders, machines with flexible shafts or spindles.
