The 3M™ Complete Adflo™ System, Heavy-duty Battery, is part of a comprehensive respiratory protection system from 3M, designed to provide effective protection against particles and gases.

Features:
The 3M™ Adflo™ Powered Air Respirator provides effective respiratory protection against hazards associated with welding processes. It connects directly to any 3M™ Speedglas™ welding helmet equipped for respiratory protection and can protect users against particulates and gases, depending on the filter fitted. The unit is supplied with a self-adjusting breathing tube featuring a QRS (Quick Release Swivel) connector for easy one-handed connection and disconnection. It also includes an airflow indicator, prefilter, spark arrestor, particulate filter, heavy-duty lithium-ion battery, belt and battery charger. Gas filters are available separately (837242 or 837542). An odour filter (837110) is also available separately for use in working environments with unpleasant odours.
The standard battery recharges fully in approximately 5.5 hours, depending on its remaining capacity. The system provides an expected operating time of 10 to 13 hours when used with a new particulate filter, a fully charged new battery and the standard airflow setting. Airflow can be adjusted easily to suit user requirements. The system maintains a constant nominal airflow of 170 litres per minute, regardless of battery charge or particulate filter loading. For hotter and more humid working environments, the airflow can be increased to 200 litres per minute to maximise wearer comfort.
The lithium-ion battery makes the powered air unit almost 20% lighter, improving balance and increasing wearer comfort throughout the working day. The heavy-duty battery is recommended when using a gas filter and, in certain configurations, the 3M™ breathing tube with silencer (834009) is also required.
